A workshop on anti-ragging was conducted on January 02, 2019 at 03.00 pm in the college auditorium. Dr. Shivsharan, DCI Member addressed the gathering. Dr.Vinaya S Pai, Principal of the Dental College, highlighted the workshop by detailing the definitions of ragging, administrative and legal actions in the event of any case of ragging reported to the members of Anti-ragging committee or Anti-ragging squad of the dental college. The same was attended by 2018 – 19 Batch Undergrdaute ,Post Graduates students, members of antiragging committee, all Heads of Department anc Hostel Committee members and Warden.

The Students were addressed by Ms Mehula, Avocate , Civil and State of Karnataka, she gave a detail view of her personal experience and about the legal aspects involving cases of Ragging.

A very detailed presentation on ragging, its Ill- effects,Myths, Facts and Measures to prevent ragging by Dr Amandeep Soodhi ,Reader, Department of OMRD and Dr Keerthi Prasad K S, Reader, Department of PHD gave a very apt finish to the event.
