COURSE DESCRIPTION

Fellowship in cleft lip and palate surgery course conducted by Bangalore Institute of Dental Sciences, Bengaluru is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka.  The Cleft Fellowship is recognized and funded by the New York based NGO “Smile Train”. This will be an intensive hands on course in the multidisciplinary management of cleft deformities. The cleft unit treats about 600 patients every year, in a multidisciplinary set up, consisting of surgeons, anaestheologists, pediatricians, orthodontists, speech pathologists and social workers.  The candidates will have hands on experience in all aspects of management of cleft deformities, including adequate opportunities to operate under supervision.

a.      Eligibility: MDS in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery from any Institution recognized by Dental Council of India, New Delhi, India

b.      Mode of Selection: Through selection committee as per RGUHS, committee consisting of:

i.                    Head of the Institution

ii.                 Head of the Department/Specialty

iii.               One Subject Expert (Same Specialty)

iv.               One Representative from RGUHS

e.      Fees Structure: Rs. 2,30,000/- (Including University Fees)
