A workshop on anti-ragging was conducted on October 17^th 2019 at 10.00 am in the college auditorium. Dr Shivsharan Shetty, Member Dental Council of India addressed the gathering. Dr.Vinaya S Pai, Principal of the Dental College, highlighted the workshop by detailing the definitions of ragging, administrative and legal actions in the event of any case of ragging reported to the members of Anti-ragging committee or Anti-ragging squad of the dental college.

The same was attended by 2019 – 20 Batch Undergraduate, Post Graduates students, members of anti-ragging committee, all Heads of Department and Hostel Committee members and Warden.

The Students were addressed by Mrs Latha Shenava Advocate, Civil and The state of Karnataka. She gave a detailed view about the legal aspects involving cases of Ragging.

A very detailed presentation on ragging, its Ill- effects, Myths, Facts and Measures to prevent ragging by Dr Amandeep Sodhi, Reader, Department of OMRD and Dr Ravi , Reader, Department of Periodontology gave a very apt finish to the event.
