A workshop on anti-ragging was conducted on November  16^th 2023 at BIDS Auditorium , Dr Shivasharan Shetty, Member Dental Council of India addressed the gathering. Dr.Vinaya S Pai, Principal of the Dental College, highlighted the workshop by detailing the definitions of ragging, administrative and legal actions in the event of any case of ragging reported to the members of Anti-ragging committee or Anti-ragging squad of the dental college.

The same was attended by 2023 – 24 Batch Undergraduate, Post Graduates students, members of anti-ragging committee, all Heads of Department and Hostel Committee members and Warden.

The Students were addressed by Mrs Sreejaya Advocate in India since 1987 and Solicitor of England & Wales since 1999,Ranked all India First at Bar Council Moots, Student leader and Gold medalist at College SIT on Internal Complaints Committee at various Govt and Corporate bodies at Coimbatore. She gave a detailed view about the legal aspects involving cases of Ragging.

Mr Chandru, Sub inspector, Siddapura Police station , Bengaluru gave legal inputs for reporting of Ragging and various anti ragging measures that needs to be followed by students
