Integration of Implant module in Endodontic Curriculum

The Department of Conservative dentistry and Endodontics , Bangalore institute of dental sciences ,becomes the first institute in the country to successfully integrate the implant module into the Endodontic curriculum from 2015-18 batch.

An insight into the implant program will provide the student with necessary tools to ensure predictable treatment approaches and outcomes. With this, the students will be able to provide a comprehensive and holistic approach to the overall treatment plan for the dental patient.

While Endodontists can perform highly conservative root canal therapy, time has come for them to evolve into “under structure specialists” as well. Endodontists who can place implants can make an unbiased choice regarding whether root canal therapy or an implant placement will work.
